I don t remotely get everyone thinking its a good idea/fine to have Lee and Nate on 1 year contracts. The Knicks need to start enlarging their long term core past Gallo, Chandler, Hill and Douglas now, or else it won t really develop coherently together. Lee and Nate on 1 year contracts means they will not be here next year; 80+% likelihood. You have to expect that there will be 7 guys in the regular rotation to start the season (out of 9 or 10 rotational players total!) that will need to be thinking about themselves and their immediate futures with Lee and Nate on 1 year deals. There is not a strong enough leader on the court to control that kind of situation and I highly doubt there has ever been a team that made the playoffs or even came close to making the playoffs that would be looking at that kind of roster instability. It s crazy.
